Commercially Available Records for Wing

There are a number of records and whatnot for Wing (or the whole of Buckinghamshire) available for sale via commercial or not-for-profit organisations. Please support them and respect their copyright.

If you are aware of any other useful Wing-specific things that others might be interested in purchasing, please email me and I will add them to this list.

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE CENSUS RECORDS

The census for each year from 1841 to 1901 is widely available through all of the major UK commercial websites and on CD (at the time of writing, the sole provider of the 1911 census is Find My Past). The commercial websites will offer different levels of subscriptions or pay-per-view packages so it pays to check your options carefully. The quality of the transcriptions and indices does vary, so you may like to shop around and try an alternative supplier if you can't find the person you are seeking. Key suppliers are:

Buckinghamshire Family History Society for CDs of 1851
Buckinghamshire Genealogical Society for CDs of 1861, 1881 and 1891
S&N British Data Archive (CDs)
Ancestry.co.uk (online)
Find My Past (online)
The Genealogist (online)
Genes Reunited via their misleadingly-named 1901censusonline.com portal (online)

Remember that my own transcriptions for Wing for 1841, 1871, 1891 and the enumerators summary books for 1911 are available on this website.

Other free sites are:
FreeCEN (currently 1861 and 1891)
the old Family Search (for 1881 census index)
the new Family Search (for 1841 and 1861 census index)

PARISH REGISTERS

I am slowly making my own transcriptions of the parish registers - check the sitemap to see what is currently available.

S&N Genealogy Supplies now have the registers for 1546 to 1812 available on CD - these are the Woodman transcriptions published by the Bucks Parish Register Society in 1914.

Marriages for the period 1546 to 1812 were extracted as part of the Phillimores series, and can be purchased on CD from Archive CD Books.

WILLS

See my wills page for a list of wills of Wing people that are available through various channels.
